In December 2023 IUMS partnered with the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) and together assembled a panel of experts (Scientific Advisory Group or SAG) dealing with health, energy, greenhouse gases, agriculture, soil, and water, and asked them to analyze from the scientific, economic, and ethical point of views whether microbes could help to address climate change.
The SAG conclusions will be published online on March 25th 2025 in two reports, one in the journal Nature and one on the website of the American Academy of Microbiology. Links to the reports will be published on this web site.
